Wayne
Rebich, CPA
Mr. Rebich is founder, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Tractionworks, Inc., a professional
consulting firm providing strategic management, business
development and financial consulting services to startup,
emerging and established companies. Incorporated in 2002,
Tractionworks embraces and expands the consulting mission
initiated by Mr. Rebich during his eleven years of practice as
an independent Certified Public Accountant. As a licensed CPA
and professional consultant, Mr. Rebich has assisted more than
fifty clients. More than thirty of these have been startups or
early-stage entities.
An entrepreneur by nature, Mr. Rebich frequently
serves as a key member of a client’s founding management team,
and has served as acting Chief Financial Officer or Chief
Executive Officer for many companies during their startup and
early operations. He has served on numerous boards of
directors, and has frequently assumed the role of corporate
treasurer or secretary. His typical services encompass all
aspects of startup operations, including strategic planning,
entity formation, management team coaching, training and
recruiting. He frequently assists in preparing business plans
and financial forecasts, due diligence activities, and financing
activities. He is currently developing a series of training
courses, through Tractionworks, focusing on the needs of
entrepreneurs.
Mr. Rebich has extensive project management
experience, having assisted a client with the creation and
documentation of a “business process improvement” assessment
project and implementation of the resulting process in many
operational and financial areas. A key focus of this process
was an assessment of internal controls and implementation of
enhancements. He is currently working on a Sarbanes-Oxley
Section 404 Internal Controls Assessment project for a public
biotechnology entity.
A native of Montana,
Mr. Rebich graduated from the
University
of Montana
with “High Honors,” earning a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration and a minor in Mathematics. He currently serves
as an advisory board member of the
Davidson
Honors
College at the
University of
Montana.
Mr. Rebich began his professional career in 1986
as a financial statement auditor with KPMG, working primarily
with the KPMG office in Seattle
(including a short-term secondment to the office in
Auckland, New Zealand).
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA) and the Washington Society of Certified
Public Accountants (WSCPA). He is also a member of the
Northwest Entrepreneur Network, currently serving on the Evening
Seminar Committee, and has previously served as a steering
committee member for the Early Stage Investment Forum, chairing
the sponsorship sub-committee. Mr. Rebich has also served as a
member of a national AICPA task force exploring alternative
services provided by CPAs.
