BUSINESS COACHING
Starting a new business,
particularly for the first time, is a very scary endeavor.
So many things you encounter are new and it is often difficult
to know how to proceed. Someone who has done it before can
be an invaluable resource to keep you focused and to avoid
costly, time-consuming mistakes.
You can often find local
resources who can help. A number of state and federal
agencies, and many local colleges, operate Small Business
Development Centers or similar organizations that can help you
plan and launch your business. In addition, you can often
find local accounting, legal, and consulting professionals who
specialize in serving small business clients. You can
usually find theses resources through web searches or by
contacting your local Chamber of Commerce.
When choosing an advisor, you
want to make sure that person is truly knowledgeable about what
it takes to start a new company. The best advisors are
those who have actually started and operated a successful
business. They will have a good understanding of the
experience you are about to go through and what is required to
be successful.
